In most cases, scalp irritation is caused by the presence of dandruff and therefore the best way to treat this problem is to wash your hair with an anti-dandruff shampoo and avoid using too hot water, as it can dry the skin and worsen the irritation.
However, when there is no dandruff, but the scalp is irritated, there are some natural remedies that can be made at home to improve the discomfort.
1. Water spray with vinegar
An excellent home remedy for irritation on the scalp is with apple cider vinegar because it besides reducing inflammation and preventing excessive growth of fungi, also promotes hair rejuvenation by aiding in irritation.

Mix the ingredients and put in a spray bottle. Then sprinkle the mixture on the scalp, massaging with gentle movements, placing a towel around the head and letting it act for 15 minutes. Finally, wash the threads but avoid using too hot water, as it may dry the skin even more.
2. Shampoo with malaleuca oil
Malaleuca oil, also known as Tea tree, has excellent antibiotic action that eliminates excess bacteria and fungi in the hair, avoiding irritation and scaling of the scalp.
Ingredients
- 15 drops of melaleuca oil.

Mix the oil in the shampoo and use it normally when washing the hair.
3. Salsaparilla tea
The root of sarsaparilla contains quercetin, a substance with anti-inflammatory action that helps to relieve irritation over time, being a great complement to the spray of apple cider vinegar and malaleuca shampoo. In addition, this tea also helps strengthen the immune system, reducing the risk of skin infections.
