How to use
Oral
Take with food and never close to taking antacid or antidiarrheal.
- Treatment of attack: start with 10 or 20 mg per day in a single dose. Reduced dose during treatment according to patient response.
Intra-muscular
- 100 mg every 4 weeks. (Buttocks, upper outer quadrant).
Possible side effects
This medicine may cause hypotension; blurred vision; ocular changes; nasal congestion; inability to remain seated; extrapyramidal symptoms.
When not to be used
This medicine should not be used in case of pregnancy; breast-feeding; children; severe cardiovascular disease; cerebrovascular disease; with the; brain damage or central nervous system depression; bone marrow depression; blood dyscrasia in patients with phenothiazine hypersensitivity.
