How to use Depakote
Oral use
Adult
- Starting treatment with 5 to 15 mg per kg body weight daily, if the dose is greater than 250 mg, should be divided into 2 or 3 doses. The dose may be increased at weekly intervals until seizure control is achieved.
Children
- Administer from 14 to 45 mg per kg of body weight per day the dose may be increased at weekly intervals until seizure control is obtained.
