Mometasone furoate is the active ingredient in the drug commercially sold as Nasomet which belongs to the class of corticosteroids, from the Shering laboratory. It acts as a nasal decongestant.
Indications
Decrease the discomfort of irritation in the nose, discharge and nasal obstruction, Allergic rhinitis, Nasal polyps.
Contraindications
Pregnancy, cystic fibrosis, recent nasal surgery, wound inside the nose, tuberculosis, herpes or if you are taking any other corticosteroids.
Side effects
In rare cases it leads to increased glaucoma, altered taste, sneezing.
How to use
In adults, 2 sprays are recommended in each nostril 1 time per day. If necessary, you can increase the dose to 2 times a day.
