Ifosfamide is an injectable drug known commercially as Holoxane.
This is a chemotherapy drug used to eliminate malignant tumors of the body, such as breast, endometrial and ovarian cancer.
Ifosfamide is considered to be a very strong drug, which should be combined with antacids to prevent the development of other diseases, such as hemorrhagic cystitis.
Indications of Ifosfamide
Cancer of the endometrium; breast cancer; Ovary cancer; pancreatic cancer; lung cancer; kidney cancer; cancer of the testicle.
Side effects of Ifosfamide
Increased stomach acidity; alteration of sperm production; changes in blood; goosebumps; cystitis; convulsion; yellowing of the skin and eyes; disorientation and mental confusion; marked decrease in menstrual flow; inflammation of the throat; stomach pain; bleeding; inflammation in the mouth or lips; nausea; vomiting, total hair loss; blood in the urine; cough.
Contraindications to Ifosfamide
Pregnancy risk D; women in the lactation phase; individuals with brain metastasis; individuals with obstruction of the urinary tract.
How to use Ifosfamide

Adults
- Administer 50 to 60 mg of Ifosfamide per kg body weight daily for 5 consecutive days.
