Lanvis is an antineoplastic medicine that has active substance Thioguanine.
This oral medication is indicated for the treatment of some types of leukemia and for some blood diseases that are not related to cancer.
Lanvis Indications
Acute lymphocytic leukemia; acute myelocytic leukemia; chronic myelocytic leukemia; chronic granulocytic leukemia.
Lanvis Side Effects
Diarrhea; inflammation in the mouth; nausea; loss of appetite; vomiting; anemia; increased levels of uric acid in the blood and urine; yellowing of the skin or eyes; liver toxicity; fever; weakness; bone marrow depression.
Contraindications of Lanvis
Pregnancy risk D; women in the lactation phase; history of resistance with medication.
How to use Lanvis
Oral use
Adults and children
- Initiate treatment with 2 mg per kg of body weight in a single daily dose. If no toxic effect occurs, the dose should be increased gradually and within 4 weeks to reach 3 mg per kg body weight.
Maintenance dose : 2 to 3 mg Lanvis per kg body weight, in a single daily dose.
