How to use Mylanta Plus
Take 2 to 4 teaspoons, preferably between meals and at bedtime or according to medical criteria.
For patients with peptic ulcer, the amount and schedule of treatment should be established by the physician.
Do not exceed the serving of 12 measuring spoons during the 24-hour period and do not use the maximum dose for a period exceeding two weeks, except under medical supervision and guidance.
Side Effects of Mylanta Plus
The side effects of Mylanta Plus are rare, but there may be cases of mild intestinal transit changes, hypermagnesemia, aluminum intoxication, encephalopathy, osteomalacia, and hypophosphataemia.
Contraindications of Mylanta Plus
Mylanta Plus should not be used in:
- Patients younger than 6 years;
- Patients with renal failure and acute abdominal pain;
- Individuals with hypersensitivity to the components of the formula.
Mylanta Plus should not be taken with medicines such as tetracyclines or other antacids containing aluminum, magnesium or calcium.
The medicine contains sugar and should be used with caution in diabetics.
