The blood type diet is a diet in which individuals make a specific diet according to their blood type and was developed by the naturopathic physician Peter d'Adamo and published in his book "Eatright for your type" which means "Feed properly according to their blood type, "published in 1996 in the United States of America.
For each blood type (type A, B, O and AB) foods are considered:
- Beneficial - foods that prevent and cure diseases,
- Harmful - foods that can aggravate illness,
- Neutrals - do not bring, nor cure diseases.
According to this diet, blood types have a strong influence on the body. They determine the efficiency of the metabolism, the immune system, the emotional state and even the personality of each individual, promoting well-being, reducing weight and strengthening health from a change in eating habits.
Foods allowed for each type of blood
Each blood group has its characteristics and therefore it must make a specific feeding, so for those who have:
- Blood type O - you need to eat animal proteins daily, otherwise they may develop gastric diseases like ulcers and gastritis due to high production of gastric juice. Carnivores are considered with a strong intestinal apparatus being considered the oldest group, basically hunter.
- Blood type A - Protein of animal origin should be avoided because they have difficulties to digest these foods since the production of gastric juice is more limited. Vegetarians with a sensitive intestinal tract
- Blood type B - tolerates a more varied diet and is the only type of blood that tolerates well dairy products in general.
- Blood type AB - you need a balanced diet containing a little bit of everything. It is an evolution of groups A and B, and the diet of this group is based on the diet of blood groups A and B.
Although there are specific foods for each type of sengue there are 6 foods that for a good result should be avoided like: milk, onion, tomato, orange, potatoes and red meat.
