How to use Nitrofurantoin

Oral use

Adults and adolescents

• Treatment : Administer 50 to 100 mg of Nitrofurantoin 4 times a day.
• Prevention: Administer 50 to 100 mg of Nitrofurantoin in a single dose at bedtime.

Children from 1 month to 12 years

• Treatment : Administer 3 to 7 mg of Nitrofurantoin per kg of body weight per day divided into 4 doses.
• Prevention : Administer 1 mg of Nitrofurantoin per kg body weight in a single dose or divided into 2 doses.
