Ezetimibe and atorvastatin are the main active ingredients of the drug Liptruzet, from MerckSharp & Dohme. It is used to lower levels of total cholesterol, bad cholesterol (LDL) and fatty substances called triglycerides in the blood. In addition, Liptruzet increases HDL (good cholesterol) levels.
Liptruzet is found in the form of tablets for oral use at concentrations (Ezetimibe mg / Atorvastatin mg) 10/10, 10/20, 10/40, 10/80.

Side Effects of Liptruzet
Changes in liver enzymes: ALT and AST, myopathy and musculoskeletal pain. Taking LIPTRUZET with other medicines or substances may increase the risk of muscle problems or other side effects. How to use Liptruzet

This medicine may be given as a single dose at any time of the day, with or without food. The tablets should not be crushed, dissolved, or chewed.
It is not known whether it is safe and effective in children.
