Muscle pain is the major side effect and is associated with increases in hepatic creatine phosphokinase (CPK), transaminases (TGO and TGP) in the blood, without necessarily having symptoms of liver disease.
Contraindications
Atorvastatin is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any component of the formula or to liver disease or major alcoholics. This medicine is contraindicated in pregnant and lactating women.
