Nitrendipine is a medicine known commercially as Nitrencord.
This medication is an oral antihypertensive, which lowers the calcium concentration in the heart muscle cells.
Indications of Nitrendipino
Chest pain; arterial hypertension; cardiac insufficiency.
Side effects of Nitrendipine
Increased heart rate; tiredness; Headache; swelling in the legs; nausea; palpitation; allergic skin reaction; redness on the face; heat sensation; dizziness.
Contraindications of Nitrendipine
Pregnancy risk C; women in the lactation phase.
How to use Nitrendipino
Oral use
Adults
- Hypertension : Initiate treatment with 10 to 20 mg once daily. If the drug's effect is not satisfactory, the dose may be increased to 40 mg per day, divided into 2 doses (after breakfast and at night). After 2 to 4 weeks, it is recommended to reduce the dosage.
Seniors
- Hypertension : Administer 10 mg of Nitrendipine daily.
It is recommended to take this medication in the morning, preferably after the first meal.
