A good way to get purple spots on the skin caused by falls, for example, is to apply a warm compress to the area, but massaging the sore area with an arnica ointment is also an excellent home remedy.

1. Homemade compress

- 1 kg rice, beans, or any other grain, still raw;
- 1 small pillowcase, the approximate size of the grain package.
Method of preparation
Put the dry beans inside the pillowcase and sew, to look like a pillow. Whenever it is necessary to use the hot compress, you should place this pillow of grains in the microwave for a few minutes and when it is warm, apply in the region.
Leave to act on the region until cool. A good tip to avoid burning the skin with this compress is to put a washcloth between the skin and the compress.
2. Rosemary bath
Rosemary has analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties and bath heat helps activate circulation and absorb blood from the site, reducing pain.

3. Homemade arnica ointment
This ointment is easy to make and can be kept in a clean bottle and can last for many days. It can be kept in the refrigerator, but before using it, for the touch to be more pleasant, it should remain a few minutes at room temperature.
Ingredients
- 10 mL of liquid paraffin or beeswax melted in a water bath
- 10 ml of arnica essential oil
Method of preparation
Simply mix the ingredients and keep in a clean and properly capped flask. The ingredients can be found in natural products stores and to use just apply a small amount to the purple mark, making circular movements for a few minutes.
