Peppermint tea is a great home remedy for flatulence, as this medicinal plant has anti-spasmodic properties, reducing the peristaltic movements of the intestine and avoiding the formation of gases.
Flatulence can be caused by excessive intake of air during meals, sedentary lifestyle, poor eating habits, and gastrointestinal disorders, such as constipation.
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons (of coffee) of peppermint leaves
- 250 ml of water
Method of preparation
Put the water to a boil and, after boiling, put the peppermint leaves. Cover for 5 minutes, strain and drink the tea about 2 to 4 times a day.
In addition to this peppermint tea for flatulence, it is important for individuals to exercise regularly, drink about 2 liters of water a day, increase consumption of fiber-rich foods and avoid ingesting foods that cause gas, such as beans, chickpeas, turnip, broccoli or radish, for example.
