In the diet for kidney failure you need to control the amount of salt, phosphorus, potassium, protein, plus the amount of salt, water and sugar. Therefore, the consumption of processed foods should be reduced; prefer baked fruits twice without reusing water, and consume protein only for lunch and dinner.
Here are some options for how you can feed for 3 days to rely on this feed on other days, but a dietitian can indicate a diet specially developed for each case if you do not feel comfortable deciding what to eat.
Kidney failure menu

Dinner | 1 serving of cooked fish (60 g) 2 tablespoons carrots cooked with rosemary 2 tablespoons white rice |

How to Make Sugarless Apple Jelly
Ingredients:
- 2 kg red and ripe apple
- Juice of 2 lemons
- Cinnamon sticks
- 1 large glass of water (300 ml)
Method of preparation:
Wash apples, peel and cut into small pieces. Now, bring the apples to medium heat with water, adding lemon juice and cinnamon stick. Cover the pan and cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. If you want a more uniform consistency and no pieces, expect to cool and use a mixer to beat the jam.
2. Roasted sweet potato chips
Ingredients:
- 1 kg of sweet potatoes, cut into sticks or sliced
- Rosemary and thyme
Method of preparation:
Spread the sticks on a platter greased with olive oil and sprinkle the herbs. Preheat oven to 200 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. If you want a sweeter taste, replace the herbs with cinnamon powder.
3. Sprinkling biscuit
Ingredients:
- 4 cups of sour sprinkles
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 cup of oil
- 2 whole eggs
- 1 col. salt coffee
Method of preparation:
Beat all ingredients in the mixer until smooth. Use a bag of confectionery or a plastic bag to make the biscuits in circles. Bake in preheated medium oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
4. Unsalted popcorn

5. Butter biscuit
This butter cookie recipe is good for kidney failure because it is low in protein, salt and potassium.
Ingredients:
- 200 g unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cups of wheat flour
- lemon zest
Method of preparation:
Mix all ingredients in a bowl and knead until loosening of hands and cup. If it takes too long, add a little more wheat flour. Cut into small pieces and bring to the medium-low oven, preheated until lightly browned.
Each biscuit has 15.4 mg of potassium, 0.5 mg of sodium and 16.3 mg of phosphorus. In renal failure, strict control of the intake of these minerals and proteins is important.
