A great strategy to accelerate the healing of wounds and cuts in the skin is to pass oils, slug gel or compresses solutions with healing effect, soothing and anti-inflammatory that can be made at home using natural ingredients available in pharmacies, drugstores or shops of natural products.
1. Mixture of oils
This oil is an excellent option when the wound is superficial and already has a cone, because you should not use this oil if the wound is open, still without a cone, not to infect, or if you have pus. In this case, it should be treated by a nurse who can do the correct cleaning of the wound and the necessary dressing.
Ingredients
- 30 ml of mineral oil, almond or coconut;
- 1 drop of marigold essential oil;
- 1 drop of lavender essential oil;
- 1 drop of rosemary essential oil;
- 1 drop of chamomile essential oil.
Method of preparation
Add all ingredients and shake well until smooth. Store in a tightly closed container in a clean, dry cabinet.
To benefit from its benefits, simply apply a small amount to a cat or dog scratch or bite, for example after about 3 days or when the wound is no longer open, being careful to wash the area with running water and soap, and then make circular movements with the product on top and around the cut or wound. The oil can be used until the wound has completely disappeared.
2. Ligature with honey
Honey is a great choice to heal skin lesions because it contains a proven natural antibiotic effective against infectious microorganisms.
Ingredients
- Honey;
- Sterilized ligatures.
Method of preparation
Clean the wound and then cover with a thin layer of honey and place a bandage on top and then re-apply honey. The bandage should be changed about twice a day. See other benefits of honey.
3. Mileage Compressor
The flowering ends of yarrow stems contain natural healing ingredients that favor blood clotting, ease pain and soothe inflammation.
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon of yarrow liquid extract;
- 125 mL of warm water;
- Sterile compresses.
Method of preparation
Dilute one teaspoonful of yarrow extract in 125 ml of warm water and then soak a compress in that solution and apply to the cut by pressing firmly.
Comfrey Comfrey
A good natural remedy for wounds is to apply a comfrey compress to the injury and let it act for 30 minutes because this medicinal plant has healing properties that help to regenerate the skin.
Ingredients
- 10 g of comfrey leaves
- 500 ml of water
Method of preparation
Put the ingredients in a pan and simmer for 5 minutes. Then tape and let it melt. When it is warm, filter and soak a gauze in this tea and apply the compress to the wound. Next, cover with a bandage or place a band aid to prevent entry of microorganisms and protect the region.
Another good tip to aid in wound healing is to increase the consumption of foods rich in vitamin C such as strawberry, orange and pineapple because they help in skin regeneration. However, it is important to be aware of possible signs of inflammation in the wound.
