Desonol is a corticoid ointment with anti-inflammatory action that contains desonide in its composition. This ointment is indicated to fight the swelling and inflammation of the skin, favoring the healing and action of the collagen produced naturally by the body.
Desonol is a white ointment, which has homogeneous texture, with aroma of essences, being manufactured by the Medley laboratory. However, it is possible to find the Desonida ointment in the pharmacy, which is its generic form.
What is it for
Desonol dermatological cream has anti-inflammatory action and is used to treat skin wounds and itching in wet areas, as long as it is indicated by the doctor. This ointment should not be used in the eyes, mouth or vagina and is intended for the treatment of corticosteroid-sensitive dermatoses.
It can also be indicated after performing aesthetic procedures such as dermaRoller or peeling, for example.

Desonol costs approximately 20 reais, while its generic form Desonida, costs approximately 8 reais.
How to use
Cream and creamy lotion:
- Adults: Pass the ointment in the affected area 1 to 3 times a day;
- Children: Only once a day.
Apply the cream in the clean region with small circular movements. Wash your hands before and after applying this medicine.
Main adverse effects
This medicine is well tolerated and most people do not have any reaction after use, however, in some cases irritation, itching and dry skin may appear on the treated area.
When not to use
Dersonol ointment is not indicated for use during pregnancy, in people who are allergic to desonide, and in case of tuberculosis, syphilis, or viral sores such as herpes, vaccinia or chicken pox. This medicine should not be applied to the eyes.
