Cepacol is a mouthwash that has the active substance Cetylpyridinium. This oral solution is indicated to complement oral hygiene because it eliminates bacteria and germs from the mouth, reducing inflammation, sore throat, and also preventing bad breath.
However, this should not be the only way to guarantee cleanliness of the mouth, tongue and teeth and therefore it is not a substitute for daily tooth brushing.
Indications of Cepacol
To treat to prevent inflammation in the throat; inflammation of the gums; bad breath and prevention of plaque.
How to use Cepacol
Cepacol should be used daily after the correct brushing of the teeth, as follows:
- Above 12 years: Rinse your mouth and gargle 3 times a day.
- From 6 to 12 years: Dilute the product in water, in equal parts, rinsing the mouth and gargling, 3 times a day.

No side effects were found.
Contraindications for Cepacol
Cepacol should not be used by children under 6 years of age.
