Alizapride is a medication to stop nausea and vomiting during cancer treatment, and it can be done orally or through an injection.
This medicine, commercially known as Superan acts on the stomach and intestine in the region of the duodenum, emptying them early, which relieves the symptoms. The medicine is produced by the Sanofis Aventis laboratory, and should be used only after medical recommendation.

Indications
The use of Superan is indicated for the treatment of nausea and vomiting, during the treatment of cancer.
How to use
The use of Superan is made orally, and for adults it is indicated 50 to 200 mg per day, divided into 3 or 4 doses and for children 5 mg per Kg of weight per day, divided into 3 or 4 doses.
In the case of injectable use, it must be applied to the muscle or vein by a nurse or doctor, with 100 to 200 mg per day recommended for adults and for children starting with 25 mg, continuing with pediatric drops as soon as possible.
Side effects
Some side effects of Superan include stopping menstruation, increasing breast size, diarrhea, headache, drowsiness, dizziness, facial spasm, involuntary or torticollis movement and drop in blood pressure.
Contraindications
The use of Superan is contraindicated in pregnancy, pheochromocytoma and in a patient who has had difficulty moving with the use of a neuroleptic.
