How to use Cefzil
Oral use
Adults
- Pharyngitis; tonsillitis and urinary tract infection: Administer 500 mg Cefzil every 24 hours for 10 days.
- Bronchitis and Sinusitis: Administer 500 mg of Cefzil every 12 hours for 10 days.
- Skin Infection: Give 250 to 500 mg Cefzil every 12 hours or 500 mg every 24 hours for 10 days.
Children
- Otitis media (6 months to 12 years of age): Administer 15 mg cefzil per kg body weight every 12 hours for 10 days.
- Pharyngitis and Tonsillitis (2 to 12 years of age): Administer 7.5mg Cefzil per kg body weight for 10 days.
- Sinusitis (6 months to 12 years of age): Administer 7.5 to 15 mg Cefzil per kg body weight every 12 hours for 10 days.
