Verapamil is the active substance of an antiarrhythmic drug known commercially as Dilacoron.
This oral and injectable medicine is indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure and for chest pain. Its action is to decrease the concentration of calcium in the heart and to decrease the heart rate.

Pregnancy risk C; women in the lactation phase; severe low blood pressure; sinus syndrome; Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome; Hipersensibility to any of the formula's components.
How to use Verapamil
Oral use
Adult and teenagers
Start with the administration of 80 to 120 mg, 3 times a day. The dose should be increased weekly or weekly, depending on the patient's improvement. The daily dose limit for adults is 480 mg.
Injectable use
Adults
Administer 5 to 10 mg intravenously for about 2 minutes. If needed, another 10 mg, 30 minutes after the first application can be given.
