A great natural remedy for menopause is flaxseed because it has lignans a phytoestrogen similar to those that stop being produced by the ovaries and so it is very effective in combating the heat waves and the other symptoms that arise in menopause.
Flaxseed should be consumed daily for approximately 2 months to assess its effect on menopausal symptoms. However, this amount of flaxseed should only be used for women who are not taking hormone replacement therapy with the medicines because it can cause a large increase of hormones in the bloodstream and this is detrimental to health.
How to use Linseed
It is recommended to consume 40g of ground flaxseed, about 4 tablespoons per day as a natural hormone replacement. Some suggestions for the menu are:

- Add 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed in a pot of yogurt or in a bowl of cereal with milk, for example.
