Cetonax is a medicine that has as active ingredient ketoconazole.
This medicine is an oral and topical antifungal, used in the treatment of infections caused by fungi such as mycosis, chilblains and white cloth.
Symptoms such as itching and irritation are diminishing during treatment with Cetonax, which works by preventing the mechanism of action of fungi and eliminating them from the body.
Cetonax Indications
Mycoses of the skin; frieira; White cloth; cutaneous candidiasis; dandruff; seborrheic dermatitis (seborrhea, oiliness).
Cetonax Side Effects
Headache; abdominal pain; nausea; seasickness; diarrhea; redness and itching (in case of hypersensitivity).
Contraindications of Cetonax
Pregnant or lactating women; individuals with liver disease; hypersensitivity to the product.
How to use Cetonax
Adults
Oral use
- Vaginal Candidiasis : Administer 2 tablets (400 mg) in a single daily dose, for 5 days.
- All other indications : Administer 1 tablet (200 mg) daily until at least one week after the disappearance of the symptoms.
Topic Use
- Skin Infections : Apply a light layer of Cetonax cream over the affected area. The treatment should be continued until a few days after the disappearance of the symptoms.
- Infections on the scalp : Apply the Cetonax shampoo to the scalp, and allow the medicine to act for 3 to 5 minutes. After the prescribed time thoroughly rinse the scalp.
