Home remedies are a good option to complement the clinical treatment of urinary tract infection and accelerate recovery and should be taken daily to strengthen the immune system and increase urine production by eliminating bacteria.
However, these remedies should not replace the advice of the doctor and pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult the obstetrician before using them.
1. Urine syrup with echinacea and hydraste
Grapefruit is antiseptic and diuretic, echinacea has antibiotic action and strengthens the immune system and hydraste acts as an anti-inflammatory, this being a great combination of herbs to combat urinary tract infection.
Ingredients
- 30 ml of grape ursine extract
- 15 ml of echinacea extract
- 15 ml of hydrate extract
Method of preparation
Mix all these extracts very well, put in a dark bottle and shake well. Dilute 1 teaspoon of this syrup in a little warm water and drink immediately 4 times a day. Total 4 tablespoons of the syrup per day.

2. Wild Cranberry Juice
This is a great option to treat urinary tract infection in pregnancy because the cranberry has a high concentration of proanthocyanidins that make it difficult for the E. coli bacteria to adhere to the urinary tract, reducing the chances of the disease. Method of preparation
It is advised to drink 3 to 4 glasses of this juice daily, as long as the symptoms persist.
3. Tea with a stick of gold
Golden-legged tea is also an excellent home remedy for urinary tract infection because this herb has diuretic and anti-inflammatory action that increases urine output, thereby decreasing the time urine stays in the bladder and developing bacteria.

- 2 tablespoons dried dried golden stick
- 1 cup boiling water
Method of preparation
Place the golden-leaf leaves in the boiling water and let stand for 10 minutes before straining. Drink 1 cup of this tea several times a day.
4. Radish tea
Another good home remedy for urinary tract infection is the use of horseradish, as it has antiseptic, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties that relieve symptoms and decrease the amount of bacteria in the urinary tract.

- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon dried horseradish
Method of preparation
Boil the water and then add the dried leaves of horseradish. Let it stand for 5 minutes, coe and take 2 to 3 cups a day.
5. Capuchin drink
Another home remedy that can be used to treat urinary tract infection is capuchin tincture which has antibiotic, antiseptic and diuretic properties, which reduce bacterial proliferation in the urinary tract and stimulate the production of urine.

- 20 to 50 drops of capuchin tincture
- 1/5 cup warm water
Method of preparation
