Vinegar sitz baths as well as the local application of coconut oil or tea tree are great home-cooked options to combat candidiasis as they help balance the pH of the vagina or prevent the development of the fungus that causes candidiasis. However, these types of remedies should not replace the gynecologist's guidelines.
Candidiasis is a disease characterized by the proliferation of Candida in certain areas of the body, and the most affected regions are the genitals and the mouth. It can be caused by the use of antibiotics, allergy, compromised immune system and by some medications. Its main symptom is itching in the vagina, but candidiasis can be asymptomatic, that is, it does not cause any symptoms, being discovered on a routine examination.
