To identify bulimia, it is important to be alert for physical signs such as scars or calluses on the knuckles, fingers to induce vomiting, and behavioral signs such as using the bathroom after meals.
In addition, wear of teeth and cavities can be observed in patients with bulimia or frequent use of laxatives and diuretics.

Bulimia test
Another way to identify bulimia is to respond to the following questionnaire:
- Am I obsessed with my weight and my physical forms?
- Do I feel like food is dominating my life?
- I'm afraid when I start eating I can not get enough?
- Do I feel scared, embarrassed, guilty or depressed after eating?
- Do I force the vomit after eating, take laxatives daily, spend many hours without eating anything or practice physical exercises in an exaggerated way?
When you answer affirmatively to more than 3 answers of this questionnaire there is the possibility of being suffering from bulimia and the best thing to do is to seek medical help.
