Monopril is a medicine with active substance Fosinopril.
This medicine is an antihypertensive indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure. Its action has vasodilator effect, which decreases the resistance of the vessels, improving circulation and keeping blood pressure stable.

Contraindications of Monopril
Pregnancy Risk C; women in the lactation phase; hypersensitive individuals to any component of the formula; children under 6 years of age.
How to use Monopril
Oral use: Taking the medicine before or after meals
Adults
Hypertension : Firstly, diuretic therapy should be discontinued 2 to 3 days before starting treatment with this drug to reduce the risk of a marked fall in blood pressure. Initial treatment should be given with the administration of 10 mg of Monopril in a single daily dose. Maintenance doses may range from 20 to 40 mg, as the patient improves.
Children over 6 and weighing over 50 kg
The starting dose should be 5 to 10 mg per day. The dose should be increased gradually until the desired effect is achieved. Do not exceed 40 mg per day.
