How to use
The method of use of Polaramine depends on the form of presentation, where:
Polaramine cream
Apply Dexchlorpheniramine (Polaramine) cream on affected skin 2 times a day.
Polaramine in syrup
- Adults and children over 12 years: 5 ml 3 to 4 times a day, not to exceed 30 ml per day.
- Children 6 to 12 years: 2.5 ml three times a day, not to exceed 15 ml per day.
- Children 2 to 6 years: 1.25 ml three times a day, not to exceed 15 ml per day.
Polaramine tablet
- Adults and children over 12 years: 2 mg, 3 to 4 times a day, not to exceed 12 mg per day.
- Children 6 to 11 years: 1 mg, every 4 or 6 hours, not to exceed 6 mg per day.
Side effects
The main side effects include drowsiness, hives, itching, pruritus, chills, low blood pressure, headache, palpitations, loss of appetite, weakness, nervousness, heartburn, dizziness, tinnitus and low blood pressure.
Contraindications
Polaramine is contraindicated for children under 2 years of age and patients who are hypersensitive to any component of the formula.
