Alfataliglicerase (Uplyso) is a medicine used to treat gaucher's disease, produced by Pfizer and Protalix BioTherapeutics. This medicine may improve the condition of the liver, spleen, bones, and blood cells in people with type I Gaucher disease. However, it is not a cure for this condition.

How to use Alfataliglicerase (Uplyso)
Intravenous use. Usually 1 ampoule is given every 15 days in a hospital setting.
Side effects of Alfataliglicerase (Uplyso)
Pain or burning when you urinate; fever; chills; body pain; flu symptoms; sores in the mouth and throat; mild headache; low fever; mild dizziness or feeling tired; nausea; stomachache; joint pain; back pain or cold symptoms such as stuffy nose, sinus pain and sore throat.
Contraindications of Alfataliglicerase (Uplyso)
In case of allergy to taliglucerase alfa; pregnancy risk B; breast-feeding; children under 8 years of age and elderly over 65.
