A great homemade foot scrub can be made at home with simple ingredients such as sugar, honey and ginger. The sugar particles are large enough that when pressed against the skin, remove the layer of rough skin and all dead cells. Honey, ginger and oil deeply moisturize the skin, giving a soft touch to the feet.
This exfoliation can be done up to twice a week, during the bath, or when the pedicure, for example. To prepare the homemade scrub it is necessary to:
Ingredients
- 1 spoon of refined sugar or crystal
- 1 tablespoon ginger powder
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 3 tablespoons of sweet almond oil or other
Method of preparation
Mix all ingredients very well. After forming a paste, apply it by wiping with quick circular movements on dry feet, insisting on the roughest areas, such as the heel and the instep. Then simply rinse with warm water, dry with a towel and pass a moisturizer to the feet.
The exfoliation removes the dead cells from the region, leaving the skin thinner due to the removal of the outermost layer of skin, rich in keratin. Moisturizing after this process is very important so that a protective barrier forms and does not interfere with the skin protection barrier. A good tip is to do this exfoliation at night and wear socks to sleep.
