Maresis is a nasal medication indicated for the treatment of stuffy nose, consisting of a solution of 0.9% sodium chloride, with a fluidizing effect and a nasal decongestant. It is used in the form of nasal spray, which facilitates its use and increases the effectiveness to eliminate the secretion of nasal cavities, common in situations such as colds, flu, sinusitis or allergic rhinitis. In addition, it can also be used in the postoperative of nasal and sinus surgeries.

Maresis can be purchased at major pharmacies, for a price that varies, on average between 35 and 60 reais, depending on the location and quantity of the product.
What is it for
Maresis is used to treat cases of nasal congestion, popularly known as a stuffy nose, as it acts by fluidizing and helping to eliminate secretions. Its main indications include:
- Gripes and colds;
- Rhinitis;
- Sinusitis;
- Postoperative of nasal surgeries.
Unlike some of the medicines for this purpose, Maresis does not contain in its formula preservatives or vasoconstrictor substances, nor does it interfere with the functioning of the cells of the nasal mucosa.

How to use
The use of Maresis should be done as follows:
- Uncap the bottle and select between the adult or child valve, fitting it to the top of the bottle;
- Insert the applicator valve into the nostril;
- Press the valve base with the index finger, forming a jet, during the time necessary for the hygiene, remembering that, in babies, the time of application must be short;
- Blow the nose, if necessary, to remove fluidised secretions;
- Dry the applicator valve after use and cap the vial.
As a hygiene measure, it is recommended that the product be used in an individual way, avoiding shares.
