How to take

How to start taking: For those who will take Elani cycle for the first time, should take the first tablet on the first day of your period. This contraceptive has immediate effect on the prevention of pregnancy and so you do not need to use a condom when having intercourse since your first shot.
What to do if you forget 1 tablet: In case of forgetfulness you should take the forgotten tablet until 12 hours of the ideal time. If you forget for more than 12 hours, the effect is impaired, especially at the end or at the beginning of the card.
- Forget the first week: take the tablet as soon as you remember and use a condom in the next 7 days;
- Forget the second week: take the tablet as soon as you remember;
- Forget about the 3rd week: take the tablet as soon as you remember and do not pause, starting a new card as soon as it is finished.
If you forget 2 or more pills in any given week, the chances of pregnancy are higher and so you should take a pregnancy test before starting a new pregnancy test.

Medications for epilepsy such as primidone, phenytoin, barbiturates, carbamazepine, oxcarbazepine, topiramate, felbamate, remedies against AIDS, hepatitis C, tuberculosis, such as rifampicin, medicines for diseases caused by fungi such as griseofulvin, itraconazole, voriconazole, fluconazole, ketoconazole, antibiotics such as clarithromycin, erythromycin, heart medicines such as verapamil, diltiazem, arthritis or arthrosis such as etoricoxib, remedies containing St. John's Wort, commonly used to treat depression, when taking the grapefruit juice.
