Intrinsa is the brand name of the testosterone skin patch that is used to increase pleasure in women. This testosterone replacement therapy for women allows natural testosterone levels to return to normal, thus helping to restore libido.
Intrinsa produced by the pharmaceutical company Procter & Gamble, treats women with sexual dysfunction introducing testosterone through the skin. Women who have had their ovaries removed produce less testosterone and estrogen, which can cause decreased desire and reduce sexual thoughts and arousal. This condition may be known as hypoactive sexual desire disorder.
