Burdock, aroeira and dandelion teas are great natural remedies for pimples because they promote a clean inside out. But to potentiate this treatment, it is advised to avoid the consumption of industrialized foods, rich in sugar or fat, and clean the skin properly.
Pimples are common in adolescence and during pregnancy and usually arise due to feeding and hormonal changes, so to dry the pimples it is also important to avoid all kinds of industrialized product and drink enough water to purify the body by eliminating the toxins.
1. Burdock tea
A great home remedy for pimples is to pass burdock tea on the skin because this medicinal plant improves the function of the sebaceous glands and has antiseptic properties that help to clean the skin properly.
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons root of the dried or fresh burdock
- 500 ml of cold water
Method of preparation
Place the cut burdock root in small pieces in the cold water and let stand for 6 hours. After soaking, bring to the boil and boil for 1 minute, counted after boiling water.
Use the solution after it is coveted, washing the affected area 2 to 3 times a day, or just apply tea on the inflamed spine with the help of a cotton ball. Also, take 1 cup of burdock tea 2 times a day.
2. Aroeira tea

Ingredients
- 100 g of mastic peel
- 1 liter of water
Method of preparation
Put the ingredients in a pan and bring to the heat for about 15 minutes. Cover the pan, turn off the heat and let stand for another 15 minutes, then strain and store this solution in a tightly closed glass container, such as an empty mayonnaise glass, for example. Apply a little of this solution over the pimples 3 to 5 times a day, allowing it to dry on its own.
3. Herbal tea
Taking this herbal tea is also a way to stop the pimples, because this tea has properties that help the liver, kidneys and intestines function, fighting the toxins present in the blood that favor the appearance of the pimples.
Ingredients
- 700 ml of water
- 2 tablespoons dried burdock root
- 2 tablespoons of dandelion
- 2 tablespoons clover-red flower
Method of preparation
Put the first 3 ingredients in a pan and boil for approximately 10 minutes. Turn off the heat, and when you heat, add the last ingredient. Let stand for another 5 minutes, strain and drink the next. Drink 3 to 4 cups of this tea per day.

To end the pimples it is important to identify their cause. Some of the possible causes of pimples are:
- Excess activity of the sebaceous glands, due to hormonal changes, typical of adolescence, pregnancy or polycystic ovarian syndrome;
- Excessive toxic substances in the body due to consumption of processed foods;
- Nutritional deficiencies that can be diagnosed on a blood test;
- Intestinal changes such as constipation or dysbiosis;
- Overloaded adrenal glands;
- Food allergies.
To complement this home treatment for pimples, it is still indicated to have some care, such as:
- Adopt a balanced diet with low salt and low fat, avoiding chocolate, milk and peanuts;
- Avoid makeup, sun exposure and stress;
- Do some physical activity and
- Never squeeze the blackheads and pimples to keep the skin from getting stained and scarred.
A great remedy for pimples is Roacutan (Isotretinoin), a derivative of vitamin A. This remedy is expensive, but is one of the most indicated to treat severe cases of acne, giving excellent results, however it should only be used under the guidance of the dermatologist.
