Treatment for cystitis can be done with the use of antibiotics prescribed by the doctor, but home remedies with diuretic properties also achieve good results.
Some examples of remedies for cystitis are: Cephalexin, Ciprofloxacin, Amoxicillin, Doxycycline and Sulfamethozol-trimethoprim. See other examples here.
The correct use of the antibiotic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic is important for the success of the treatment and to avoid recurrence of the disease and, therefore, the doctor's instructions regarding the dose and the medication intake should always be respected. Some antibiotics should be taken only once, while others should be taken for 3 or 7 consecutive days. In the latter case, the symptoms of the disease are expected to disappear before the end of treatment.
