Aphrodisiac herbs are herbs added to foods before, during or after their preparation, and have properties that stimulate smell, the production of hormones that increase libido, and improve blood circulation, and increase sexual desire.
Aphrodisiac foods, such as Indian pepper and cloves, are used to spice up the relationship and should be consumed before intimate contact, preferably in a romantic meal, to stimulate the senses and desire.
Some easily found spices that can be used as aphrodisiacs are:
- Red pepper: stimulates circulation, increases heart rate and sensitivity of the sex organs;
- Rosemary: acts against impotence, and its aroma is considered a stimulator of sexual appetite;
- Ginger: has stimulating action, helping to prolong erection;
- Basil: sharpens the senses and stimulates the instincts, especially in men, besides increasing blood circulation in the genital region;
- Clove of India: increases libido and gives energy;
- Cinnamon: stimulates the action of sex hormones;
- Nutmeg: increases circulation and promotes erection;
- Mint: increases sexual potency;
- Mustard: increases the sensitivity of the sexual organs;
- Garlic: it thins the blood and favors erection.
These condiments can be used in various culinary preparations to increase sexual desire, but do not act as remedies for impotence or sexual inappetence, which is lack of desire, and can not be used to treat such diseases.
