Palpitation; increased heart rate; chest pain; Headache; dizziness; swelling; chills; fever; weakness; lack of appetite; abnormal burning sensation; tingling or touch-prone; nausea; abdominal pain; diarrhea; gases; vomiting; indigestion; eruption; itching.
Contraindications of Anagrelide
Pregnancy Risk C; women in the lactation phase; patients with severe hepatic impairment; Hipersensibility to any of the formula's components.
How to use Anagrelide
Oral use
Adults
- Thrombocythemia: Start treatment with 0.5 mg four times a day, or 1 mg twice daily. The treatment should last for 1 week.
Maintenance: 1.5 to 3 mg per day (adjust for lower effective dose).
Children and Adolescents from 7 to 14 years old
- Start at 0.5 mg per day for one week. The maintenance dose should be between 1.5 and 3 mg per day (adjust for the lowest effective dose).
Recommended maximum dose: 10 mg per day or 2.5 mg as single dose.
Patients with moderate hepatic impairment
- Reduce initial dose to 0.5 mg per day for at least one week. Increase the dose gradually respecting increments of at most 0.5 mg per day every week.
