Abilify, is a medicine used in bipolar disorder or schizophrenia. It is produced by the Bristol-MyersSquibb laboratory and can be found in tablet form at dosages of 10 mg in packs of 10 units, 15 mg in packs of 10 or 30 units, 20 mg in packs of 10 or 30 units and 30 mg in packs with 30 units.

Abilify Indication
Indicated for the treatment of schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder.
For Bipolar Disorder:
Monotherapy - Abilify indicated for the acute and maintenance treatment of mania and mixed episodes associated with type I bipolar disorder.
Adjunct Therapy - Abilify is indicated as adjunctive therapy to lithium or valproate for the acute treatment of mania or mixed episodes associated with type I bipolar disorder.

Abilify's Contraindication
People with allergy to aripiprazole or to any component of the formulation. It should be used with caution in patients with known cardiovascular disease (myocardial infarction or ischemic heart disease, heart failure or conduction disturbance), cerebrovascular disease, situations that predispose patients to hypotension (dehydration, hypovolemia and treatment with antihypertensive drugs) or hypertension, including accelerated or malignant. How to use Abilify

Bipolar disorder
The recommended starting dose and target dose is 15 mg once daily as monotherapy or as adjunctive therapy with lithium or valproate. The dose may be elevated to 30 mg / day based on clinical response. The safety of doses greater than 30 mg / day has not been evaluated in clinical studies.
