Sabugueiro is a medicinal plant, also known as Sabugueiro-da-europa, Sabugueirinho or Sabugueiro-negro, much used to treat influenza or cold.
Its scientific name is Sambucus nigra and can be bought in natural products stores, handling pharmacies and in some free trade shows.

How to use Elderberry
The used parts of the elder are its flowers, leaves and inner part of the stem.
- Elder tea: Put 1 tablespoon of dried elderberry flowers in a cup of boiling water and let it soak for 10 minutes. Strain and take 3 cups of tea a day.
Side Effects of Elderberry
Elderly side effects may include varied allergic reactions. In addition, elderberry fruits are toxic and therefore should not be consumed. However, its leaves, flowers and inner stem can be used to make tea.
Elderly contraindications
Elderly is contraindicated for pregnant and lactating women.
