To avoid stains and scars left by the chicken pox, it is essential to avoid scratching the wounds. Some important tips are:
- Cut the nails very small;
- Apply an antiallergic ointment, such as Polaramine, to the most itchy wounds;
- Wearing gloves or putting a sock on your hands may help resist itching;
- Take a warm bath with 1/2 cup oat flakes and cold water 2 times a day;
- Do not stand in the sun until the wounds are completely healed.
Another important tip when scratching is not to use your fingernails, but to scratch the place with your hands closed, using the "knot" of the fingers and never remove the crusts that remain on the wounds.
The blisters on the chicken pox should come out in about 1 month, but in some cases this stain can become a scar and this should be permanent, but despite this they can be removed with the use of cosmetic equipment, such as the laser.
