What to do if the child passes out is:
- Lay the child down and lift their legs at least 40 cm, as shown in the first image;
- Place the child on her side so she does not choke, placing it in a lateral safety position, as shown in figure 2;
- Loosen tight clothing so the child can breathe;
- Keep the child warm by putting blankets or clothing on it;
- Leave the child's mouth uncovered and avoid giving anything to drink.
If the child does not regain consciousness after 3 minutes, it is important to call an ambulance .
Fainting in a child can happen due to heat, dehydration or physical exertion, when indoors and on hot days or even while playing in the sun.
When the child has several fainting spells and prolonged, she should go to a neurologist to assess the causes of fainting, which may be neurological.
