A atemoia is a fruit produced from the crossing of the fruit of the earl, also known as pineapple or ata, and cherimoia. It has a mild and bittersweet taste and is rich in nutrients such as B vitamins, vitamin C and potassium, and is usually consumed fresh.
Atherosia is easy to grow, adapting to various types of climate and soil, but prefers moist regions and tropical climates. Like the earl's fruit, its pulp is white, but is less acidic and brings fewer seeds, being easier to consume.
Its main health benefits are:
- Provide energy, because it is rich in carbohydrates, and can be used in pre-workout or in snacks;
- Help control blood pressure by being rich in potassium;
- Improve metabolism of carbohydrates and fats by containing B vitamins;
- Help improve intestinal transit by being rich in fiber;
- Increase the feeling of satiety and avoid craving for sweets due to their fiber content and taste;
- Helps calm and improve blood circulation by being rich in magnesium.
The ideal is to consume fresh atemoia, and should buy the fruits still firm, but without black or very soft spots, which indicates that they have passed from their point of consumption. Until ripe, these fruits should be stored at room temperature. See the differences and all the benefits of the fruit of the count.
