An excellent home remedy for insect bite is the lavender compress.
Ingredients
- 4 drops of lavender essential oil
- 4 drops tea tree essential oil
- 2.5 l of water
Method of preparation
To prepare this home remedy simply add the essential oils in the well chilled water and mix well. Moisten a clean towel in the solution and apply to the affected area, letting it act for approximately 10 minutes. This procedure should be repeated twice daily.
The irritation, burning and redness are symptoms that bother after an insect bite, but with the use of this home remedy these symptoms will soon disappear. Lavender has soothing properties that decrease irritation in the affected area.
