First aid for unconscious victim include:
- Call for help from individuals who are close to the location;
- Ask to call an ambulance through the number 192;
- As they call the ambulance, place the victim lying on their side, as picture 1 shows, and call to see if they respond;
- Observe if she is breathing by placing her face on her face, near the nose and mouth, as shown in figure 2.
- If she is not breathing, start cardiac massage, as picture 3 shows, until the heart beats again or the ambulance arrives.
Cardiac massage helps oxygenate the brain and can decrease brain damage, in addition to saving the life of the victim.
