The diabetic can cure hemorrhoids through simple measures such as, eating plenty of fiber, drinking about 2 liters of water a day, and bathing in warm water for example.
Hemorrhoid remedies are less recommended because some of them can alter blood sugar levels and therefore should only be used under medical advice.
Some guidelines for the treatment of hemorrhoids in diabetics are:
- Do not eat spicy foods because they tend to worsen hemorrhoids;
- Eat a diet rich in fiber, consuming whole wheat bread, vegetables and fruits with bark, as they facilitate the exit of feces. More examples of high fiber foods.
- Avoid eating too spicy foods, alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, pepper, vinegar or canned foods because they can irritate the intestinal mucosa and hemorrhoids, worsening pain and discomfort;
- Take about 2 liters of water a day because the water helps to soften the stool, helping in their exit and avoiding that the individual makes much effort to evacuate;
- Bathing with warm water for 15 to 20 minutes, as warm water relieves pain and inflammation. Here are some herbs that can help prepare a Hemorrhoid Seat Bath.
- Avoid making the force to evacuate because the effort to evacuate can worsen the pain and increase the size of the hemorrhoid;
- Do not use toilet paper, washing the anal area with soap and water, or wipes, as toilet paper may make the pain worse;
- Hemorrhoid ointments, such as Hemovirtus, Proctyl or Ultraproct, should only be used under medical advice.
Generally, with these measures, hemorrhoids disappear, however, the individual should continue to ingest about 2 liters of water a day, make a high-fiber diet and avoid making force when evacuating to avoid the appearance of new hemorrhoids.
