In baby's food, 9 months of fish can be added at 10 months, rice and pasta can be added at 11 months, such as beans or peas, for example, and from 12 months onwards the egg can be offered to the baby.
Some practical tips for using the new foods can be:
- Fish (9 months) - initially, the fish should be introduced into the vegetable soup and gradually integrated into the dish into slightly less shredded pieces. It is important for fish to be thin at first, such as hake or sole, for example. The amount of fish per meal will never exceed 25 g per day, and should be consumed in one of the main meals while keeping the meat at the other meal. See 9-Month-Old Baby Pies Recipes.
- Rice and pasta (10 months) - rice in bago and the pasta as starlets and letters, for example can be added in the vegetable puree in small quantity and very well cooked.
- Peas, beans or grain (11 months) - can be mixed in the vegetable puree in small quantities, well cooked and crushed or made just puree peas, for example.
- Egg Clear (12 months) - The whole egg can be added to the baby's feed after 12 months, up to 2 times a week. The egg should be used as a substitute for meat or fish.
Although at this age babies still do not have the molar teeth they already chew the food with the gums and can give harder foods to massage the gums but it is important to be careful when the food dissolves so that the baby does not choke.
