Fluimucil is an expectorant medication indicated to help eliminate phlegm in situations of acute bronchitis, chronic bronchitis, pulmonary emphysema, pneumonia, bronchial closure or cystic fibrosis and to treat cases where there is accidental or voluntary intoxication with paracetamol.
This medicine has in its composition Acetylcysteine and acts in the body helping in the elimination of secretions produced in the lungs, reducing their consistency and elasticity, making them more fluid.

How to take
Fluimucil 20 mg / ml Pediatric Syrup:
Children between 2 and 4 years of age: 5 ml doses are recommended 2 to 3 times per day according to medical advice.
Children over 4 years of age: 5 ml doses are recommended, 3 to 4 times daily as directed.
Fluimucil Adult 40 mg / ml syrup:
- For adults, 15 ml doses are recommended, taken once a day preferably at night.
100 mg Fluimucil Granule:
- Children between 2 and 4 years of age: 1 envelope of 100 mg is recommended, 2 to 3 times per day as directed.
- Children over 4 years of age: 1 envelope of 100 mg is recommended, 3 to 4 times per day as directed.
Fluimucil 200 or 600 mg granules:
- For adults, doses of 600 mg per day, 1 envelope of 200 mg 2 to 3 times per day or 1 envelope of 600 mg per day are recommended.
Fluimucil Effervescent tablet of 200 or 600 mg:
- For adults it is recommended 1 tablet of 200 mg taken 2 or 3 times per day or 1 effervescent tablet of 600 mg taken 1 times a day at night.
Fluimucil Injectable solution (100 mg):
- For adults it is recommended to administer 1 or 2 ampoules daily, under medical supervision;
- For children, it is recommended to administer half a ampoule or 1 ampoule daily, under medical supervision.
Fluimucil treatment should be continued for 5 to 10 days, but if symptoms do not improve, consult your doctor as soon as possible.
Side effects
Some of the side effects of Fluimucil may include headache, ringing in the ears, tachycardia, vomiting, diarrhea, stomatitis, abdominal pain, nausea, hives, redness and itching of the skin, fever, shortness of breath, or poor digestion.
Contraindications
This medicine is contraindicated for children under 2 years of age and for patients with allergy to acetylcysteine or any of the components of the formula.
In addition, if you are pregnant while breastfeeding or if you have intolerance to Sorbitol or fructose, you should talk to your doctor before starting treatment.
