Azatadine is an antiallergic medication, which acts by inhibiting the mechanism of action of histamine, which during an allergic reaction causes the symptoms of pain, swelling and redness.
This medication is administered orally and provides greater effectiveness when combined with other medications such as the antiallergic Cedrin.
Indications for Azatadine
Allergic conjunctivitis; allergic rhinitis; urticaria.
Side effects of Azatadine
Blood changes; dry mouth and throat; skin allergies; lack of appetite; lack of motor coordination; drop in blood pressure; nausea; palpitation; urine retention; vertigo; vomiting.
Contraindications for Azatadine
Pregnancy risk B; lactating women; children under 12; individuals with liver disease.
How to use Azatadine
Oral use
Adults and children over 12 years
- Administer 10 to 20 ml of Azatadine, 2 times a day, preferably in the morning and at night.
Children from 6 to 12 years old
- Administer 5 ml of Azatadine, 2 times a day.
Children from 1 to 6 years
- Administer 2.5 ml of Azatadine, 2 times a day.
