Side effects
The side effects of Dermazine may be onset of Stevens-Johnson syndrome, Lyell's syndrome, change in blood composition, and loss of minerals in the urine.
Contraindications
Silver Sulfadiazine is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any component of the formula and children who are premature or younger than 2 months.
Its use is also not recommended in the last trimester of pregnancy and breastfeeding because it is not known whether its use is safe at this stage, as well as in pre-mature babies and under 2 months of age.
