How to use Jurubeba
The Jurubeba can be used in tea by infusion, tincture, juice of the roots or fruits, or powder.
- Tea for internal use: Infusion of 2 tablespoons of leaves, fruits or flowers in 1 liter of water. Take 3 cups warm, sugar-free tea per day.
- Tea for gargling and wound healing and acne: Put 1 tablespoon of cut leaves into very small pieces into 1 cup of boiling water. Let it boil for 10 minutes and strain. Apply on the spot or use lukewarm to gargle.
Side effects of Jurubeba
The side effects of Jurubeba may occur with prolonged ingestion of the drug. Due to high concentration of alkaloids and steroids may cause in some cases diarrhea, increased liver enzymes, gastritis, nausea and vomiting.
Contraindications of Jurubeba
It should be avoided during pregnancy, breastfeeding and should not be used for prolonged time as it may cause intoxication.
